Sought after by his foes and suffering from investment losses, Chuanbao sets his eyes on grandma's house. Fu Peimei flees war and arrives in Taiwan.
Grandma asks Chuanbao to help run the restaurant. Cheng Shaoqing professes his love to Peimei. Achun starts working in the city to pay off debt.
As a newlywed, Peimei is not good with chores, her thoughtful husband Shaoqing hires Achun, a native Taiwanese girl to help out around the house.
Overhearing someone complaining about her cooking skills, Peimei sets her mind to learn to cook well. Chuanbao cannot stand Grandma's strict training.
Taking Achun with her, Peimei studies various Chinese cuisines, and her cooking becomes well-known. Chuanbao is determined to revive the restaurant.
The TV station invites Peimei to be on a show, while Achun's life also changes because of her. Gradually, Chuanbao learns about Grandma's past.
