過年就是要買刮刮樂啊！沒錯，全台瘋彩券！即使春節連假已經進入尾聲，各地投注站買氣依舊強強滾，不論是親戚好友、同事鄰居，都人手一張要來搏個好彩頭！但你知道樂透、刮刮樂的英文怎麼說嗎？《VoiceTube 看影片學英語》就幫你整理出幾句實用單字，讓你試手氣還能學英文！

1. 彩券 lottery ticket
通常我們講到彩券時，最常使用的字是lottery，這是指所有彩券的通稱。那為甚麼我們常說「樂透」而不說「彩券」呢？那是因為“lottery”這個字源自於“lotto”，「樂透」其實是”lotto”的音譯。

2. 買樂透 buy a lottery ticket
注意！不能說buy the lottery或者buy a lottery，買樂透其實是只買「樂透彩券」，中文的往往會省略一些字，如果只講lottery是代表憑彩券兌獎的「遊戲」，所以英文用法上一定要加上“ticket”才正確。

3. 中樂透 win the lottery
「中」這個動詞其實非常簡單，別懷疑！就是用”win”這個字。

4. 槓龜 lost the lottery
只要用「lose」一個字就搞定啦！

5. 刮刮樂 scratch-off (lottery ticket)
可數名詞，直接在off後面加上”s”。是指彩券的一種形式，也就是我們所知用硬幣把銀色膜刮掉的彩券。scratch當動詞是指「刮、抓」，名詞是指「刮痕」的意思，所以scratch-off直翻中文「刮刮樂」非常貼切。另外，scratchcard也是指刮刮樂的意思，是屬於英式說法，美式通常都用scratch-off表示。

6. 頭獎 the first prize/ jackpot
頭獎就是第一名的意思，依此類推其他二獎(second prize)、三獎(third prize)的說法和序數相同。頭獎還可以用jackpot來說，因為jackpot最早是指吃角子老虎機(slot machine)上的頭獎，後來延伸為大型賭博性遊戲的首獎。

7. 中頭獎 win the first prize = hit the jackpot
hit有「擊中」的意思，hit the jackpot字面上就是中頭彩，也可衍生比喻「事業成功」、「出運發大財」。

8. 中獎號碼 winning numbers
中獎號碼一定不只一個，所以要用複數喔！

9. 簽注 bet
bet動詞是指「打賭」，名詞就是「賭注」的意思，買樂透其實就是在打賭，所以簽注就是用”bet”這個字，而投注站就是betting station、投注機則是betting machine。

有夠幸運的！What good luck!
如果你手氣很旺，買幾張刮刮樂都中獎，你就可以說”What good luck!”，這個句型是「what + N !」的感嘆句用法，但要注意的是luck在這裡是指「運氣」，是不可數名詞，所以前面不需要加”a”冠詞喔！

全憑運氣 the luck of the draw
draw當名詞意思指「平局」，表示參與者的機率均等，the luck of the draw就是指全憑運氣、大家機會都一樣。

課稅 tax
tax當動詞課稅時，是及物動詞，後面直接加某人就好。重大筆樂透金都會被政府抽稅，如果要表示向誰課稅，就說tax somebody on something，如果要說被課多少比率，就要用介係詞“at”。
